Arrival at Bangkok Airport by flight

Meet and greet by your tour private guide and transfer to hotel for check-in. Each guest will receive a flower garland during their transfer. Welcome cocktail will be offered by hotel during check-in.

Option 2:      Welcome lunch at River Café & Terrace at the hotel

14:00              In the afternoon your private guide takes you on a tour not to be missed during a stay in Bangkok: Embark on a private long tail boat and enjoy a 2-hour ride through the many canals, in Thai language called “Klongs”

Option 3:      Relax on board, admiring the fascinating life on the river banks pass you by whilst enjoying delectable canapes and chilled champagne. Dinner at leisure Accommodation at the Peninsula Hotel

DAY 2 BANGKOK [B/L/D]

Late morning, depart from your hotel to Jim Thompson’s House, learning about the life and legend of this self-made American entrepreneur. The magnificent Thai-style house contains an extensive collection of objets d’art and antiques. After the tour enjoy a delicious lunch on the open-air terrace or in the cool air-conditioned section of the Jim Thompson’s House Restaurant.

After spoiling your taste buds, it is time to see another magnificent piece of Thai architecture: Wat Po, the most extensive temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha. Alternatively, you can also have a local palmist foresee your future. Afterwards you will be transferred back to your hotel to freshen up.

 Option 4:      In the evening hours you can savour a refreshing sunset cocktail while cruising comfortably on a beautifully restored rice barge, organized by Manohra Cruises.

 By the time you disembark, you will be looking forward to your first dinner in Thailand’s capital. Only a short distance from the banks of the river lies the Blue Elephant Restaurant. Its menu is a fine mixture of traditional recipes and new creations in a unique atmosphere.

 After this evening treat you will be brought back to your hotel.

Option 5:      Return to your room for a relaxing start into the day. Your personal trainer will teach you the basics of Taijiquan (Thai Chi). After this in-house lesson you will feel revitalised and ready for the day ahead.

Pick-up from the hotel and transfer to The Grand Palace – a must-see for everyone who comes to Thailand. Being one of the most beautiful samples of an ancient Siamese court, the Grand Palace used to be the residence of the Kings of Thailand. Here you will see palaces which were used for different occasions: the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Hall, the Coronation Hall, the Royal Guest House, and the beautiful Emerald Buddha Temple.

Within walking distance of the Grand Palace you will find the Chakrabongse Villas, which consist of three beautifully styled private apartments in tranquil surroundings. This is your next stop for a delightful Thai lunch.

Return to your hotel for a relaxing afternoon at leisure.

Option 6:      This evening you will enjoy an exciting experience that is very typical of Thailand. Our guide will present you with a ticket for a VIP seat at the Lumpini Boxing Stadium. Thai boxing is the most popular sport in the country, and the atmosphere during the fights is electric.

At the end of this eventful day, you will be transferred to one of Bangkok’s most spectacular dinner venues: The Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar. Located on the rooftop of the Banyan Tree with amazing vistas of the sprawling metropolis below, you simply cannot fail to be amazed. Combined with great service and fantastic food, this is a venue not to miss.

Spend your afternoon at leisure at the hotel before you continue your journey. Transfer to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport with your private guide.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation & No Show Charges Policy of Regular Package Tours (Thailand):
Between 21 days and 15 days prior to departure: 10% of package price
Between 14 days and 8 days prior to departure: 30% of package price
Between 7 days and 2 days prior to departure: 50% of package price
1 day prior to departure or NO SHOW: 100% of package price

*A stricter hotel cancellation policy is applied during high season and will be advised later with the confirmation of the bookings.

REMARKS

·         Minor program changes are sometimes necessary, depending on road conditions and room availability.

·         Asian Trails reserves the right to adjust the rates if the fuel cost increase by over 10% (currently Baht 28.-per litre., Diesel) within the contract period

·         Please also note that all services featured in the itinerary hereof are calculated and/or provided as part of a package basis. Hence, there would be no refund, reimburse, redeem or compensation for an unused services or unjustifiable early departure

In case there should be a major change (5% or more) in the exchange rates between the Thai Baht and the USD, (presently around THB 30.0 per USD), we reserve ourselves the right to correct quotations in line with the revised value of the USD
